1. Lid or closure

- □ Manufacturer and part number
- □ Outside diameter, height and skirt depth
- □ Material, liner and tamper feature
- □ Thread or lug drawing if available
- □ Surface finish and acceptable cosmetic marking
- □ How lids are supplied: loose, nested, stacked, tray or pre-placed
- □ Samples from normal and difficult production batches

Send photographs, dimensions and a short process description immediately. Arrange production samples when the likely closure route has been identified, then agree the quantity and test conditions for a machinery trial.

Do I need to complete every checklist item?
No, but closure samples, jar samples, target output and a clear description of the required seal are the minimum useful starting point.
How many samples should I send?
The quantity depends on the planned trial. Include enough for setup, repeated running and destructive checks, with samples from normal production batches.
Can the supplier sign an NDA?
Confidentiality arrangements can be discussed before detailed product information or commercially sensitive samples are shared.
